Hola, Fellow Garden Clubbers:

We are adding new content and value to your Garden Club membership through the web site!

This page introduces two new features. The first is a new Garden Club Discussion Forum and the second is a Photo Album of the wonderful and various gardens we visit.

Garden Forum: We hope this will become a place that all our members can come to ask gardening questions, receive answers and share their own interests and knowledge. The concept is to develop an online community to serve as a resource when anyone has questions about any aspect of lake-side gardening.

There will be topical threads grouped into categories for easy reference. There are a number of preloaded, obvious topics, but you have a voice in its direction and an important role in its success as it evolves. While we intend to recruit moderators to help keep things accurate and on track, everyone who posts a question or takes the time to answer one makes a valuable contribution to the forum's success. Even if you only review it as a historical resource you'll be receiving value.

This will be a Garden Club exclusive feature - you must have a user name and password to login to it. You should have received an email from the club containing your user name. For most people your user name is your first initial and your last name, all in lower case letters. The first time you must click on the "Forgot your password?" at the bottom of the login page then enter your username or email address. This process will email you a link to initialize your password. Photo Album: Please try out our new Photo Album of our recent garden tours. If you were fortunate enough to see a garden with us, you can remember all its wonderful aspects. If you were unable to join us any month you can at least get a feel for what you missed. We will be adding the new gardens as we visit them this year.

After you click on the month, be sure to check out the slider just above the photos on the right - it can increase the size of the thumbnail pictures. If you click on a picture, it loads a higher resolution picture. There is also a slide show of the picture collection available by clicking on the "Slideshow" button above and to the left of the pictures. Note - if you are on a slow internet connection, the slide show may have to be paused and manually advanced to see the beauty of the garden properly.
