Garden Club Field Trip to Sierra del Tigre

Meet at 8:00 am at Lakeside Mall to carpool (call 766-4282 to offer or seek a ride).  SUV’s desirable. 

OR

Meet at 10:00 am on the plaza of Concepcion de Buenos Aires (C de BA) at Las Espuedas (Spurs) Restaurant.

10:00 am at restaurant:  Breakfast buffet and briefing (45 pesos)

10:30 am:  Depart for your selected tour.  Maximum times listed are from Concepcion de B.A. to Ajijic.

TOUR:

1. C de BA to 300’ waterfall to La Manzanilla (4 hr.) – Optimal extension on to lookout point and Mazamitla (6 hr)
2. C de BA to El Durazno, then back road back to C de BA.   30’ waterfall, mountain lake, wild flower meadows. (6 hrs.)
3. C de BA to see all of B sights, but go down toll road home - View of dry lakebeds from 2,000’ above (7 hr.)
4. C de BA back road to El Durazno and on to C. Guzman and toll road home – twisty mountain top road through pine forests – last half paved.  Great view of Guzman and Colima Volcano from 2,000’ above (7 hr.)
5. C de BA to 1,000’ waterfall.  4WD only (7hr.)  Very short, very dangerous hike: sheer cliff, no guard rail.

Listed times allow for multiple stops for photos, etc.

Trips can be made much quicker.

Each tour led by a member of “Hell’s Prostates” motorcycle club.

Tickets for breakfast must be purchased at the Oct. 17 Garden Club meeting.
