Did you know that the LCGC was founded in 1977?  This year the Lake Chapala Garden Club celebrates its 30th year! Congratulations, and Happy Anniversary.

Discounts:

Several Local vivieros offer discounts. Present your current LCGC Membership Card and photo Identification when requesting a discount. See the list of vivieros with Addresses in Membership

Luncheon Reservations and Policies:

Reservations are a Must. Only LCGC Members may attend meetings. They may bring guests. If you wish to become a member please come to La Nueva Posada on the meeting day to join. Meetings are 12:00PM on the third Wednesday of the month.

Help Us--Help Them--Help You. If you plan on attending our meeting, we must know how many are in your party, as La Nueva Posada has to set up the correct number of tables, chairs, have waiters on hand, etc. You can reserve on the reservation page

Monthly Garden Tours:

Members Only! Our monthly garden tours have been created for members only. OUR GUEST POLICY: Visitors (house guests) who are accompanied by members in good standing are welcome to attend LCGC events. Prospective members (residents) may come as a guest once a year. We will send information to members via e-mail regarding gardens being presented, times, locations and directions. Those who are generous and gracious enough to allow our members access to their properties and gardens do not want these events open to the public. Bring your 2006 membership card for admittance. Please do not arrive at the tour home before 11:00AM and finish your visit before 12:00. Meeting at LNP starts at 12:00.

If you know of a garden that you would like to see scheduled for one of our monthly garden tours, please send an email to  Janel Campbell Program Chair . This could be your own garden or a garden that you believe would be interesting to visit.

When visiting a garden on our monthly garden tour, we have been requested to remind our members to please show respect for the garden, the homeowner and the staff (maids and gardeners). Homes are traditionally off limits, so please do not even ask to see inside someone's home or to use their facilities. We do not want to lose the privilege of viewing gardens, and we have had some complaints. Be on your best behavior.

Plant Swap Table:

Have an excess of plants? Thinning out your garden or removing plants that are no longer wanted? Bring your plants to the monthly meeting and share them with other members. This is a true plant swap: bring a plant, take a plant.  If you would like to go home with a plant, bring a plant and place it on the table.

Volunteer Activities:

Calling all Volunteers! We need your time and talent! Call (376) 766-4282 or email Barb Stern to learn more about current volunteer activities.

Ajijic Plaza volunteers don your gloves...If you would like to participate in the next quarterly planting of seasonal flowers at the Plaza, just see Trudie at one of our meetings.  The quarterly updating and maintenance of the Ajijic Plaza Garden is our Community Outreach Project, being funded mainly from proceeds from our monthly meeting plant raffle.
